Local insulation installers in the Coromandel and Hauraki
The Coromandel has a real mix of homes. There are older timber houses, holiday baches, and newer coastal builds, and the insulation each one needs can change from one town to the next. A raised-floor home in Thames can call for a different approach from a new build in Whitianga.
We install and retrofit ceiling and underfloor insulation across the peninsula, and we fit out new builds at framing stage. Our work in the region now stretches around to Hauraki too, including Thames, Paeroa and the Hauraki Plains.
Because homes here vary so much, we look at yours before we quote. Free, no-obligation quotes, with no hidden fees.

Baches and older timber homes
Many Coromandel homes are older timber houses and holiday baches, often with little insulation or batts that have been disturbed over the years. A bach that sits empty for part of the year can feel cold and damp the moment you arrive, and insulation helps keep a home warmer in winter and cooler on hot days.
We check access to your roof space and beneath the floor, the way the home was built, and the condition of anything already installed. Existing insulation in good, dry condition may be kept or topped up. Wet, damaged or poorly installed insulation may need removing.
Coastal builds and damp conditions
Coastal weather can make an under-insulated home feel cold, even when the climate is fairly mild. Insulation helps keep surfaces warmer, which means less condensation, but it does not fix leaks, poor ventilation or moisture coming up from the ground.
If your underfloor space is damp, a ground moisture barrier is often part of the answer, and we install those too. We will point out any visible moisture issue that needs attention before insulation goes in.
Thames, Paeroa and the Hauraki Plains
Thames sits at the base of the peninsula, and from there the Hauraki Plains open out towards Paeroa. It is a different setting from the beaches further up the coast: flat farmland and rural homes alongside older houses, where a raised timber floor is often a good candidate for underfloor insulation.
If you are in Thames, Paeroa or out on the plains, get in touch and we will confirm availability for your address.
