Local insulation installers in the Bay of Plenty
Coastline Insulation started in Gisborne in 2023 and the Bay of Plenty is where we are based now. We are a team of four, and we install ceiling and underfloor insulation in homes, businesses and schools from Katikati through Tauranga and the Mount to Whakatāne, Ōhope and out towards Ōpōtiki.
Tauranga has a big spread of housing in a small area. There are brand-new subdivisions in Papamoa, established suburbs like Bethlehem and Welcome Bay, and older homes in Judea and Otumoetai that were built long before insulation was standard. Each one needs a different approach, so we look at your home first and quote what it actually needs.
Every quote is free and no-obligation. Most assessments are done through our online system, and we come out to you for complicated homes or if you would rather see us in person.

Insulation for Tauranga rentals
Tauranga has a large and growing rental market, and landlords are often looking at ceiling and underfloor insulation for their properties. We can help with the insulation your rental needs, and we can arrange a Healthy Homes assessment for you.
You get a clear, detailed quote with no hidden fees, so you know what is being installed and what it costs before any work starts. Most ceilings take 1 to 3 hours and a typical underfloor job is about a day, so tenants are not disrupted for long.
Older homes and new subdivisions
Older homes in Judea, Otumoetai and similar Tauranga suburbs often have thin, gappy or damaged insulation, or none at all. We check what is already there. If it is in good, dry condition it may be kept or topped up. If it is wet, damaged or poorly installed it may need to come out. An inspection shows which.
Papamoa, Bethlehem and The Lakes are full of new builds. For those we install ceiling, wall and underfloor insulation at framing stage, fitted to your plans, before the linings go on. That is when we insulate walls, so it pays to get the timing right with your builder.
From Katikati to Whakatāne and Ōhope
We work well beyond Tauranga. Katikati to the north-west and Whakatāne and Ōhope to the east are part of the same patch, and so are homes along the coast towards Ōpōtiki. Coastal homes can feel damp and cold in winter, and insulation helps keep surfaces warmer. It does not fix leaks or replace ventilation, and we will tell you if we spot something that needs attention first.
